Our Story

A Local Tradition Built Around Discovery

Blue Diamond Gemstone Panning is a family-owned attraction in Cary, NC, proudly operated across three generations. What started as a local panning experience has grown into a favorite stop for gemstone buckets, fossil hunting, birthday parties, field trips, homeschool groups, and family outings.

The goal is simple: help families get outside, try something hands-on, learn a little about rocks and fossils, and feel the excitement of uncovering real treasures.

What makes it different: guests are not just buying rocks from a shelf. They pick a bucket, pan at the sluice, sort their finds, ask questions, and keep the gemstones, fossils, shark teeth, shells, arrowheads, and treasures they uncover.
